School Council

The eleven representatives of our School Council were voted in by their class peer group.

To be elected to be a School Council representative, children must be:

  • Excellent role models
  • Good communicators
  • Fantastic listeners
  • Willing to give their free time to attend meetings
  • Creative thinkers

School Council meets every two to three weeks with the Head Teacher or Mrs Harper to discuss ways that we can improve things in our school.

Last year, School Council helped to raise funds towards buying new games for our Indoor Games Club and new Playground Equipment. They did this by delivering an enterprise day for children to collect coins, wash cars and have an own clothes day.

School Council also worked alongside Miss Butler and Mrs Colyer to introduce a Positive Behaviour Policy that includes children having a badge reward system.

In addition, improvements were made to road safety by School Council approaching our

local Councillor to improve signage for drivers.
